Just loveliness, purified

Serenity looks at the sun merely hiding from the clouds
an echo fades in the quiet dusk, loveliness purified.

Listen to the musical tap of thinned-out raindrops on leaves,
a phantasmic ecstasy awaits, loveliness purified.

When one endeavors to soar aloft on wings of bird plumage
the veil of the eternal slips off, loveliness purified.

Walking on land that feels cleansed by the tide, the rain and the dew
earth opens like a mouth to feed you, loveliness purified.

I may drift to a place beside the sea, coax the waves to speak
that my world won’t slip from its moorings, loveliness purified.
