You are brave and so damn smart,
you have the kindest, biggest heart
If you could see yourself how I do
you wouldn't be so hard on you.
Life is a hard game we play,
just trying to make it through each day
and perfection is not perfect at all
sometimes we rise after we fall.
Take a look around my dear,
the world is full of hope and fear
I know you will be okay
cause everyone finds their way.
I love you more than words express,
and I long to see your happiness
you're my son that's very true
but I see a light that shines in you.
You burn like a million stars,
I know you'll have your share of scars
the road will turn, twist and bend
but that is not where the adventure ends.
Make your path the way you choose,
what do you really have to lose
just know that I'm always here
I love you lots, my dear.
