You are brave and so damn smart,
you have the kindest, biggest heart
If you could see yourself how I do
you wouldn't be so hard on you.
Life is a hard game we play,
just trying to make it through each day
and perfection is not perfect at all
we must rise after we fall.
Take a look around my dear,
the world is full of hope and fear
I know you will be okay
cause everyone finds their way.
I love you more than words can express,
and I long to see your happiness
you're my son that's very true
but I see a light that shines in you.
You burn like a million stars,
I know you'll have your share of scars
the road will turn, twist, and bend
but that is not where your adventure ends.
Make your path the way you choose,
what do you have to lose
just know that I'm always here
I love you lots, that much is clear.
