Just Like You
You bully your way through this mortal life,
destroying anyone who blocks your path.
Fearing death, you embrace the afterlife,
worshiping God because you fear His wrath.
You cast votes for corrupt politicians;
believing that their lies are somehow true.
And condone deplorable conditions;
as the hungry masses enrich the few.
So please, don't try to make me just like you;
I choose to worship God from love, not fear.
And I will not sell my vote like you do;
I cherish the freedoms that I hold dear.
I'll not squander God's gift of free will;
I'm human, not an ant in an anthill.
