Just Let Me Sleep

....." Just Let Me Sleep " ....


In bed wrapped up under a soft silk cover ,
The need to sleep, but my mind wants another ,

Where counting sheep just doesn't  work ,
And closing  your eyes is where the monsters lurk,

With muddled up thoughts that make no sence,
Unable to close my eyes from being so tense ,

Rays of moonlight  shining through  my windowpane ,
With a brain that's raceing driving me insane ,

Wishing this tiredness would let me just close my eyes ,
So I could  Just drift of into a sleepy bye byes ,

And you can not sleep because  of the pain, 
It's a vicious circle over and  over again ,

Starring at  the  ceiling while my partner is asleep ,
If only peaceful dreams ,I could  keep ,

When the ticking of a clock sounds so noisily
And every second you long to be free ,

Lost  sence of time in this  sleepless hell,
Where my bedroom my prison, my bed my cell ,

Or drowning in a ocean where the waters so deep, 
And all I ask is please , please, let me sleep ....
