Just Keep Tryin', My Friend
Mistakes are the bane of a perfectionist’s existence
To think one is perfect is a most undesirable trait,
But seeking to be the best one can be, by persistence,
Can eventually take one from mediocre to near great.
The adage “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again,”
Is worthy of careful consideration if you are defeated,
For an individual has absolutely everything to gain
If failures can turn into successes if they are repeated.
On the other hand, to turn failures into successes
You cannot continue to make the same old mistakes,
Considering new and different approaches, my guess is,
And, confidence in your ability to succeed is what it takes.
