Just Jane

It’s such a shame
That I’m so plain
are society’s aesthetics to blame?
Who had I sinned against, to bring such rain
I’m just plain ol Jane
Then one came
Who with me has lain
A seed of grain
A hope for change
But it soon did wane
For he wanted me just the same
With tears in my eyes
A joyful surprise
Cause he wanted me as Just Jane
