Just In Time

In that moment God sent me away. I didn’t know what that meant, but I listened and obeyed. Because of this, my heart was not spilled. Because of this, I was not frozen and chilled. Because of this, I was protected from tears. Because of this, pain didn’t reach my ears. Because of this, I didn’t know how you felt. Because of this, none of my cards have been dealt. Because of this… I’m still hungry for you. Because of this… I still realize what’s true. Because of this! My heart is on fire… Because of this! Seeing you means risks that are dire… Because of this. I am alone once again. Because of this. Can I still call you my friend? I am not crying right now. But, that’s a lie, there’s a tear. I see you everywhere right now, but I know that you’re not even here. I’m going crazy holding this locket that I’ve worn while around you. This locket is still rusted while everyone else has carelessly revealed the truth. But I know why God sent me away now. Although I have the only secret you don’t know, now I have the choice to somehow reveal to you this heart alone.
