Just Had To See

My heart is beating inside my chest As I run and run no time for rest. There is a full moon out tonight I want to be back home in the light. But silly silly me I just had to go and see What was out in the woods Should have known...no good. Oh lord how was I to know That this moons iridescent glow Would bring forth this man This beast known as a Lycan? I thought it all a myth, a fable, Oh my as I run on legs unstable. He is behind I feel his breath Oh my I do not wish to see death! He grabs and throws me to the ground. Will he leave me here? Will I be found? Oh GOD that hurts, his fangs his bite. Oh why oh why can't I even fight? Will I even be able to live? Though their bites do give A virus so very strong That you should not live long. The werewolf is gone I am still here on the lawn. Looks at my wound and sees It is not bad, but am I free? The next full moon is but a month away Oh lord how can I keep my panic at bay? Nothing to do but wait and see But I fear and feel men will flee.
