Just For Fun

They told me just to write it down
Although my thoughts are not profound.
I think of things from long ago
A sudden kiss, a wave hello.

I see the clothes upon Mom's line, so clean and fresh
they smell divine.
The taste of punch from a pitcher pink, so cold and sweet and 
good to drink.

We kids would go outside to play and play until the end of day.
Our Mom's would call us one by one, we didn't want to end the fun.
I treasure all the thoughts I think and smiles shared across the street
and even now as time goes by I visit there with you an I

Yes, I'm big on childhood memories too. They are the most vivid and most intimate. Congrats on the selection. daver
