Just for a moment
I was insane
Just for a moment
All at once I felt
All of life’s pain
Just for a moment
It was a dagger
In my heart
Just for a moment
I slipped in a pool
Of my own blood
Then I realized
I could not stay here
Needed a new start
Still looking around
Just for a moment
I thought for what
I was looking for
I had found
Empty promises &
Lies kept me aground
Many moments lie ahead
Just don’t want to go
Through another one
Where I thought
I was dead
