Just Believe

Why can't you just believe
Deep down inside of me
This battered heart means you no harm
Only love and a soul mates charm

Resides within these four walls
A virtuous woman who hears the call
Confusion in here also resides
While she keeps watching you run and hide

Scared little ones will keep on wanting
All the woman has along with the loving
Open arms just like a mother
Would take them home and no more smother
The kindling fire that lies within
The contents of this lonely den

Wallow some then go away
Finding out she doesn't play
How can you understand so much
And not feel the burn of her touch

She so much wants for you to see
All she wants is for you to be free
What will you do but to reject
The most purest one you've seen or met

Because in the past you chose so wrong
While your soul mate was waiting all along
Finally it has come to be
Why can't you just believe

To me Scarlett this poem is a narrative, as you are telling a story.. you have soup mail...

Interesting thoughts put to pen. Maybe all will work it's way out. Sara
