I am so tired of all this political finger pointing and accusations about anything that gives one party or the other a leg up in getting a majority in congress or slamming any, deemed, incumbent that may be in the way of party advancement. What happened to states rights to select representatives to Washington ,on their merits, by the states they represent? We are not the United States of Washington. We are the United States of America.
Just Because You say It

Just because you say it
Doesn't always make it so
Jumping on the wagon
Doesn't always mean you know
What's happening to our justice
Where guilt requires proof
Heresay and outright lying
Is going through the roof
What's happening to our country
And our body politic
All these finger pointers,
Spotlight seekers, make me sick
Few, if any, journalists
Are proving as they learned
Ratings must be highest
Even if the truth is spurned
What happened to a trial by peers
For innocence or guilt
Now the sword is drawn
And it's driven to the hilt
We no longer work together
All the rules are out the door
If you don't think the way we do
We'll smear your name some more
Be cautious when you throw the stones
Be sure your past is clear
And those of your ancestors
For at least a thousand years
Money can find anything
And pay for people's lies
And twist the truth to benefit
Those people we despise
It's not for We the People
How the government is run
It's for power, wealth, postion
That's why nothing much gets done
