Just Because…
Just because I am a teenager,
Does not mean I am loud,
Does not mean I am a loser or loner,
And does not mean that I decide to decline into the wrong crowd.
Just because I am a teenager,
Does not mean I am a machine,
Does not mean I desire to obtain a tiger,
And does not mean I am a source of protein.
Just because I am Destiny,
Does not mean there is only one personality favored by my book,
Does not mean I receive the respect in my style or my hook,
And does not mean there is a way I am supposed to be. I am a rook.
Just because I am a teenager,
Does not mean I am outrageous,
Does not mean I like to hurt,
And does not mean I am a chaotic daredevil that retains no bliss or patience.
