Just Be Me

In a world so vast and cold
Thought I was losing my way
But then you came here
And showed me how
To feel joy and happiness once again
When I thought the worst
Would get the best of me
Your undying spirit saved me from self-destruction
And gave me the will to live once again
Although it’s only been a short time
Knowing you has made me realize that
I am more than what the others may think
You showed me that it’s ok for me
To just be me
