Just Be and See

Do we have to be good
Or we just be?
God does not want us to be perfect or anything
He just wants us to just be
So if you don't feel good
and feel bad
do you just pretend
or you just let the world off your shoulders 
and scream?
I do that
There is no need to pretend
If you pretend you'd better keep it up
or it will keep up with you
And that means it will hold you down
bear you down like a dead weight
until you are dead inside
Yeah
When are you good?
Never 
You can never be good if you tried
The bible said "Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall
and our sins sweep us away like the wind" (Isaiah 64:6)
Isaiah 64:6 also says "When we display our righteous deeds
they are nothing but rags"
So you see, why keep trying?
God doesn't want us to try
He wants us just be
Be jovial 
Be mean
Be mad
Be whatever you feel like
We are not made to be whatever
And to just be
I said my piece
And now I just be by myself
Ohhh you can come if you like :)

I think the reason our good deeds are "but rags" is because we are using them to try and earn our salvation and as you know, that is impossible. However if we do the same deeds with love and thankfulness for our Lord I believe he cherishes them. Toquyen Harrell July 31, 2015 at 9:58 AM I don't believe He wants us to anything because anything we do is a rag in His eyes (paraphrase). Sometimes we read too much into scriptures when it is what it is - plain and simple. But we can talk about this all day and all night. It's been like this since the start of the world :)
