-Just Another Day

Awake from slumber 
To just another day ….ho-hum
Nothing much happens
Same old humdrum

Yet no day is like another
As the unexpected may arise 
Best to focus on the positives
That being most sensible and wise

Any day may bring new encounters
New firsts, a nice surprise, a windfall
A kind gesture,compliment or smile from a stranger
An unexpected out of the blue call

Perhaps sweet simple happenings
The sun may shine through on a cloudy day
A garden flower may bloom for the first time
You may hear lovely laughter from children at play

Anything can happen on any given day
Be it big and bold or simple and small
When you wake next from slumber
Remember “Its not just another day at all”
