He was an ordinary man
with an ordinary head
sat on
his ordinary body.
On his right side he had,
one arm, one leg.
On the other side
he had what was left
another arm and leg.
He had an ordinary face
with an ordinary smile.
His walk?
Now that
too was ordinary,
so was his talk.
There was nothing special about
him and also nothing unusual.
Not invisible like cellophane
not vibrant like the flowers it holds.
He doesn't really sound like you does he?
You're not really ordinary are you?
Certainly you are one of a kind, unique!
Your parents told you so-
Your teachers certified it-
Authors guaranteed it-
Motivators ingrained it.
Then how did this man
slip through the cracks?
With everyone else being different.
With everyone else being unique.
How I ask you is it,
that with billions of people on Earth
all so different from one another...
How is it that only one man,
was so...
ordinary?
