Just a Pinky

It's location on the outside,
the smallest of them all,
mostly works in combination,
when the rest are all involved.

Perhaps when elevated,
indicating one's refined,
typical of the dainty,
or intention by design.

Alone its rather fragile,
proportionally rather dinky,
when injured, not significant,
after all, it's just a pinky!

Thank you Sara! The poem idea came about because the 3rd basemen for the Boston Red Sox injured his pinky finger sliding into 1st base. When interviewed about the injury he stated "well it's just a pinky"

Inspired by Boston Red Sox player Caleb Durbin.
