Just a Girl

Just a girl,
Who drowns out the world with angry poems,
And rock music.

The tragic lines of each,
Beautifully distressing poem,
Colours a lonely world.

A world with is perfectly
Masked with skillful metaphors
To shield from the real pain,
The real loneliness.

The rock music silences
The screaming that pounds through the skull,
The thoughts filled with anger and hurt.

I'm just a girl,
Who drowns out the world with angry poems
And rock music

To silence the loneliness that surrounds me
As I face each day without people I love,
And to silence the fear that controls me.

The fear I will lose
Each and every person
I love most.
