Just a Fun Catfish
Come dive down into my fishy world
come swim under the sea with me
deep down from the sun, to the bottom rung
we’ll have fun if you come, you'll see.
Even though I'm a slow, lowly catfish
just a vacuum cleaner with gils
I love wriggling my scraggly whiskers about
as I sift through the sand for my meals.
While I scrape along the ocean floor
I make plenty of watery clouds
they help me to hide as I dart about
so I try to be quiet, not loud.
They say I'm pretty tasty to eat
I don't want to get caught on a hook
that would really ruin my fishy day
got my cat eyes on, better look!
I've already lost Louie to Cajun Bob
who fried him up for dinner last week
luckily I don't purr like a loud, land cat
promise not to squeal, you're too sweet!
