Just a Friendly Glance

Just a Friendly Glance September 5, 2012

Rush hour on the subway, nothing on my mind
The day’s been long, nothing wrong, left my job behind
Crowded car, not going far, two more stops to go
Fell asleep, just woke up, that girl I’d like to know
Two seats away from a perfect day, to bad I’m on my way
Just a look that way to see a smile, is this my perfect day
She looked fine but she’s not mine, I’m not her lucky guy
I’d love to talk, just say hello, or maybe say goodbye
Should I take my chance, or miss my perfect day
Next stop is mine, did she smiled again I’ll soon be on my way
Just remember that smile and missed my chance
Am I dreaming, was it just a friendly glance
Crowded car not going far, two more stops to go
Fell asleep, just woke up, that girl I’d like to know
