Just a Flicker

how many fires
can be lit by a single flame?
with so many desires
not to find out would be a shame
we only need a little heat
      from the spark of forbidden
      passion doesn't accept defeat
      sensuality can't remain hidden
we can keep our fires blazing
in the realm of sweet surrender
true love can be amazing
and our romance can endure

It went strong for me, a bam, bam, bam verse until I got to the last line. I must pronounce 'endure' differently than you and the commenters below me / or maybe surrender? Aside from that, this was a rollicking poetic ride, fast rocking flow with all that makes such glow. Really sweet and intense ... CayCay

I love the whole work but your rhymes really stand out to me ... wonderful use of words, plus it's saucy! Nicely done, Dave

Wow Christy, wow. This one really touched me tonight. Yes it can if we keep fanning the flames with affection and love. This poem may be my favorite by you. This poem is wonderfully written and is pretty close to perfect.
