Notes About The Poem

Don't stay home; vote. It is your right and your responsibility.

Just a Few Short Days to Go

Just a few short days to go
Before the voting's past
November eighth election day
That chance will be our last

To have a voice in how we go
The direction and the way
Of how our country moves along
That's right, the U.S.A.

No matter who we're voting for
Not that our choice is great
Our votes speak for the people
In this political debate

We may not be on TV
To tell the truth or spin our voice
In the end the votes we cast
Determine who's our choice

If we choose to stay at home
Will not count at end of day
Not part of the solution
But of the problem, I must say
