Just a Fake Human

Sadness is all I feel,
the sadness feeling never goes away.
I fake that smile I greet you with,
when you come home after a hard day.
The love we used to feel,
some how is no longer present in my heart.
I say I love you,
as I know I do, but no longer do i feel it.
Those butterflies have settled in the pit of my stomach. There's no more butterflies wings flurry.
My eyes empty,
dry no tears in sight.
no longer do they represent that sparkle,
That soul.
Empty eyes full of sorrow.

I've been married for 30yrs. Love isn't always rosy sometimes it is boringly hard work. It is full of ups and downs and an up always follows a down if you want to work at it, communication is key. I have had times when I wanted to throw in the towel, thank goodness I didn't, we are on a high during this phase! Hoping those butterflies in your stomach awaken and flutter once more.

DAVINA!! :) Thanks for the sweet visits - I missed you so much! The feelings--- or lack thereof- you expressed in this poem, I can relate love. I hope that emptiness is filled up soon. Much love. Always, Laura
