Just a Drunk

There’s a steady drum beat in my head That doesn't stop until I wish I was dead He told me this through crying eyes And I could see that he couldn’t get by For sometimes it all comes to a head When life turns on a dime instead Those who once love him was lost And all that’s left is counting the cost. © Paul Warren Poetry
