Just a Dream

You woke me,
Or was it just a dream?
I felt your warm thoughts
I felt so divine
It started with a kiss to help me unwind
Whispers in the dark,
A mental state of mind
Like two doves that travel the open blue sky
A rose that withered when summer said
Goodbye

Cupid shoots poison arrows
True love died long ago

You’ve woken me, my love
Or it could’ve been a dream
Fantasies beyond galaxies
Love beyond lust
Faith has no honesty
Love learns not to trust
So she chose not to awaken her love—

Until then, I’ll dream for the two of us
