Notes About The Poem
This poem was inspired by my fascination with storms. I also had a vision of Jupiter the day I wrote it. Two Pantoums are connected to form a longer poem
Jupiter Hurls His Bolt!
Jupiter hurls his bolt but does not strike!
I love the rumbling boom of it!
Flashing bright lights ignite the sky!
Tree branches shake and have a fit!
I love the rumbling jolt of it!
The thunder rolls and wind blows my way!
I fear the crashing lightning might hit!
But bumbling storms won't jolt today!
The thunder rolls and wind blows my way!
Banging sounds ring loud like music!
Cacophony rules the sky's display!
Thunderous sounds of a mystic!
Those echoes ring loud like music!
Flashing bright lights ignite the sky!
Clamoring strikes must deride it!
Jupiter hurls his bolt but does not strike!
O, Rome, so fair!
Jupiter hurls his bolt but does not strike!
I love the rumbling boom of it!
Flashing bright lights ignite the sky!
Tree branches shake and have a fit!
I love the rumbling look of it!
The thunder rolls and wind blows my way!
I fear crashing lightning might hit!
But bumbling storms won't hit today!
The thunder rolls and wind blows away!
Banging sounds ring loud like music!
Cacophony rules the sky while it plays!
Thunderous sounds of a mystic!
Those echoes ring loud like music!
Flashing bright lights ignite the sky!
Clamoring strikes must deride it;
But Jupiter hurls his bolt and does not strike!
Wind, thunder, rain, lightning!
O, blowing winds with the flow
Streaks of light; all are Jupiter's show!
