Jungle By Night 1

Jungle by night

In the far jungle
The big bear of darkness lay
Crouched all night on leafy ground.

It glared through eyes of
Oil lamps of far away huts.
When dawn came, it slunk away.

Wow, this is great! It's so very striking to think of darkness as a bear and those oil lamps his eyes,, awesome expression in these lines.. a beautiful and fantastic example of personification, Wow again!! Congrats on your win in this contest SJ .. best wishes

This tickles the kid in me...I see a bear being entertained by the elements of civilization...then, as the morning comes, it's back to his own kind! Nice one, Jag. I missed reading your work...glad I stopped over to read some today! gwendolen
