Often we tend to sit in judgesment of others for doing what we consider wrong.

Often we tend to judge others for the very samd things that we have been guilty of ourselves at one time or another.

I think it's best to be so busy sweeping around my own doorstep that I don't have time to notice the dirt on my neighbor's step.

You point the accusing finger, For infractions of the rules. Common sense and understanding, Oft must bow to a book of rules. You sit in judgement of the wrong, Hating evil doers; Refusing explanations, As clemencies grow fewer. When you sit in judgement, You accept a dreadful task; For you drink judgement on yourself, When you sip from that flask. God will judge the mind and heart, Whene'er He judges sin. Man will judge the act alone, He cannot see within. So think before you judge someone, For oft you can't say sorry. Be certain of the circumstance, When you are judge and jury.

Judy: There must be 6-7 dozen places the Bible says this. You have done a great job of putting it to rhyme. Thank you for making this available to all of us on the soup and beyond. Keep them coming. oldbuck
