Joy Perhaps

What is this joy
I do not recognize it
It seems unseemly
Why do I feel it
It seems quite unnatural
In fact, due for certain reprehension

I would let you know of this joy
but, ahh, that is the certain kiss of death,
joy seems only deserved in the face of certain death.

Except of course that death is always certain
(If not imminent)

The longing for more and the fear of expressing it, least it go away... great write... a topic felt by us us all at one time or another... you touch our hearts and reflect our thoughts with your poetry... a rare thing when done so well.
