Joy Peace and Hope

Christmas comes but once a year;
a time for celebration,
of the greatest birth amongst man,
in all of God’s creation.
Joy, peace and hope
are the gifts of Christmas cheer;
the joy and peace of the here and now;
the hope of eternity that’s near.

Let’s give thanks to the Father
for His love and great care;
having brought us safely—
through yet another year.
Let’s give thanks for the babe of Bethlehem,
born so many years ago,
to give us joy, peace and hope
instead of worldly woe.

Let’s celebrate God’s love;
for that’s why we have joy;
Let’s celebrate His peace
that by His Spirit we enjoy.
Let’s celebrate the hope
that He gave us through His Son;
the greatest gift of Christmas,
through which eternity is won.

Let’s celebrate God’s master plan
for us to live with Him on high,
through the baby born in Bethlehem,
we can choose eternity and not die.
Let’s be thankful for the hope
that Christ gave to us;
the peace and joy made possible,
because of the babe born at Christmas.
