Joy Lost

Joy Lost

If not for the new, incisive, situational,
How do I justify, care, and learn,
If not for the exciting, unexpected, new,
How do I care, elevate, justify.

What I knew, have always known,
I revisit, now I look with new eyes,
Old knowledge, forgotten, reminded,
I now know, I remember, at last.

My hands move, instinctive, natural,
Forming, creating, what has never been,
Vision impressed, wood yielding,
A weapon forged, force of will defined.

Flight of shaft, eye to impact,
From a tool forged of will,
Impact connects, the release,
Fingers relax, eye see, recoil and impact, a cycle complete.
