Joy, Hope, and Kindness

Joy, hope and kindness are catching
They spring with a sprightly hello
The friendships they make are still matching
They form with a heavenly glow

For joy is a culture of caring
And catching the downtrodden heart
The burdens that many are bearing
Are borne by the strength we impart

Our hope is the balm of our sorrow
The heart of our will to survive
The courage to cope with tomorrow
Is keeping the future alive

But hope is not kept in a vacuum
A vacuous voice on a plain
When life is a colorful costume
A rainbow of pride in the rain

The kindness we show is infectious
It spreads by the fires we stoke
It carries to people around us
Who follow the lead of our smoke

If kindness is key to our mission
And joy is a jubilant sight
Then hope is a happy decision
To follow a future of light.
