Joy

A shower starts pouring down from the sky above
A joyous child hurries outside with his umbrella in hand
With a grin on his face, he rushes outside while his mother smiles
The mother says her little Joy finds joy when it rains
For despite the dark clouds and loud thunders
He knows that there is always a silver lining
For what lies beyond the dark clouds and depressing weather
Lies an array of colours for the eyes to feast
Signaling a promise long ago from above
That says there will no longer be any flood and peace will stay
Oh what joy! Joy shouts out to the skies above.
