JOY

There you are
My dear, old friend
I was certain we were through
I remember the was
I recall the had been
But I left...nothing else to do

The weight, so heavy
The focus, intense
I needed to move
The music played
I hummed along
But my legs...lost in the groove

....so much muck and mire

Yes, yes, but here you are
It's over...it IS really over
I see you clear as day
With feathered hat
Mismatched attire
Bright lipstick
And a smile to slay millions
JOY...JOY...JOY

Life is good!
