Journeys Cease

We keep the treasures that our hearts cherish,
In quiet times unearth their memories.
Find there the longing and a constant wish,
We want to bring back the lost days we miss.

But roads we tread have ends and journeys cease.
And when a book's last page is read, it's closed,
Just as life leads to where we'll lie... reposed.

Thank you again, Gordon. Yes, my island is very near that but we have to take a boat to get there. Glad to know you are from Scotland (brrrrr) cold over there. Perhaps a poem about Scotland soon?
