Journeys

Wishing for something to come so soon,
Is like trying to take the earth to the moon.
It's not in your bounds or power to do,
So I'll have to wait down on earth for you.
Together we walk the long old road,
With bars in between to break no code.
We'll both get through if united we walk,
In the end we'll have all the freedom to talk,
To dance and laugh and explore it all.
Again and again in love we'll fall.
Journeys were made for two not one,
And I'd go to the moon, the stars or sun.
I'd travel any distance to claim my prize,
Climb hills or mountains of any size.
To be with you I would go wherever,
If you needed me, I'm here forever.
This journey will eventually come to end,
Our souls will heal and time will amend.
For new beginnings are soon to start.
You'll be mine and you'll have my heart.
The sun will blaze again once more,
Our next chapter is just behind that door.
