Journey Towards Better Days

The end is way too far
The road is full of pitfalls
He has no shoes
But his bare feet are ready
To endure the suffering
Waiting for them all along the road
For he is on the journey of survival
And the rules are tough
No mistake is allowed
No excuse is valid
He is racing against time
And he needs to get there the sooner
But the sky is cloudy
The wind is blowing
And the thunder is roaring
He is terrified to death
And wants to kneel down on his knees
As a sign of helplessness
He wants to surrender
But suddenly, a voice coming from within
Whispers these words into his ears:
"Fear not suffering
Fear not traps
Fear not darkness
Be not afraid
Have faith in Him
And save room for joy
Because time to celebrate is no longer far
The dawn will pass
And the sun will rise
Things will come naturally
For after spring
Summer must come
And the sun will shine bright right upon your head".
