Journey To War

You are ready to embark on a journey.
A voyage destanation unknown!
Your mind is in a frenzy.
But your worried about the things at home.
Your captain is calling.
The torment your hauling is more than a man
should carry alone.

Your journey is far and frightning.
you dare not close your eyes.
No fret my dear I'll still be here
When you dock your ship back home.

Keep your head low and watch you step.
My praires are with you and never regret.
You made a choice you felt was right.
Your family will pray. Your family will write.
We will be there with you both day and nigtht.
In your heart is where I will be.
To guide you through this war.
Your children and me.

I love my soldier!

Christie, In all of our 47 plus years together the only one we had to worry about was out oldest son. He went into the army after graduation in 80 and then re entered the guards in 04. He served in Bagdad. It was hard on my husband. But Jim came home safe just after Billy died. He is at peace and Jim is safe. Hope your soldier returns safely. God Bless, Cile
