Journey To Heaven

JOURNEY TO HEAVEN

As I lay in this bed, drifting through life
Peace overcomes me, leaving behind all strife

I enter God’s realm, floating on luscious clouds
Family & friends cry and pray so loud

My body is so light, all the images are white
As I struggle to stay, in this present life

The air is so pure, everything so clean
Where do I go, what does it mean

Never before feeling, such peace all around
Now knowing, my soul has left the ground

There’s no struggle, there’s no doubt
The life before me, this is now my route

But then an angel’s voice, my thoughts now erupt
My child stands near, saying “Mommy wake up”

Eyes now open and surroundings unclear
Heart pounding, lights shining, in comes fear

I have returned to life with a short boom
Knowing I left, God’s upper room
