Journey To Battle
JOURNEY TO BATTLE
We fight to win
Not to die
Why then
Is there victory in death?
Choices in battlefield
Come only duo;
Either every thing is check
Or everybody turns wreck.
This ‘the heck
Along dragged by the bloodshed of freedom.
On my journey to battle
I stare yonder on a warship deck,
Recalling the beautiful ‘morn’
When she gave her last peck
Embraced my cheek with the last warm breath,
And the look emaciated by those teary emerald eyes
Perhaps forever
Or till end of battle.
Her teardrops made me remember
He who loved by words once said;
“Parting is such sweet sorrow
Leaving one so hollow”
But then Y.O.L.O*
Tomorrow might bring a happy reunion,
An end to battle.
Perhaps victory in death there is after all.
I don’t know.
*you only live once.
