Journey

Captured beneath a smokey red hazy sky, mesmerized

My attention and heart did follow

Sky aglow for as far as the eye could see

A beautiful sunset resting in her hallow

Red, pinks, some bedazzled grays

Imprisoned rainbows from this day

Quiet as they did sweep, silent

Across the land into the deep

Breathless, I gazed upon such beauty magnificent

She gently kissed the earth goodnight

With my hand to my heart

I was lost without word, simply grateful for such a sight

Too quickly she hurried

Whispering sweet promises of her next journey

Corrina, you have so much to offer when it come to poetry. Thanks for sharing a journey in which is much more than path or just a part of life. We should enjoy every step we take, big small, happy, or sad.. For life is deep. Nature, how could we not enjoy.... SKAT
