Jolted by Twilight
A shock of realization hit
as I watched the day blend
into a magnificent twilight
that my life is also coming
upon the threshold of twilight
while it is not a joyous feeling,
it is a twinge of awareness
that urges me to not only
accomplish things that are important
to me, but also be the kind of person
that continues to impact others
despite not being earthly present
