spit up rhododendrons,
gasped at greasepaint fingerprints—

finally saw himself:

Dear Jaymee, your poem for the prompt is ingenious! So creative, so clever. Great use of language, melancholy mood and a fantastic finale. Best wishes for the contest and warmest wishes for you.. ~Susan

Oh, Susan. You are too kind. This was a great prompt, and I had a lot of fun coming up with different versions of it, although most of them ended up in the bin lol. I hope all is well with you <3
