Jina Masha's Smile

Everything can stop
Now
All at once
She'd start her day singingDistributing her joy to all who crossed her path
She gave her love by dancing
Riding through town like a moving wave
Everything can stop
All at once
Now
Meeting the wrong person
At the wrong time
For a misplaced veil
Revealing her rare beauty
Forbidden in the name of those who think they are God
Stealing life in her name
All at once
Now
All can stop
Except for her smile that awakened the world
Now a hymn to
Women
Life
Freedom.
