Jimi Hendrix

From the Festival at Monterey Through Woodstock and his anthem play His Experience and Band of Gypsys days To his icon hit, Purple Haze We remember Jimi even today His wah-wah pedal and feedback ways It’s so sad that he ended his days Far too young to hear the praise. Well done, Joe!! Far too young to hear the praise....so often that is a sad fact of many who were legends before their time. Great poem! ~ Love, Carrie

HI, Joe, your poem here is the closest to the way I probably would have written about jimi if I'd done this contest. I only know about him generally, so I can't feel very inspired. I think you did a terrific job summarizing his short prolific life. LUv, andrea ps Love the wah wah pedal line!

Great reflection on a music icon, Joe. Some of the folks here don't even remember Jimi. He lives in your words. Love, Carolyn

Joe, the first time I heard Jimi I didn't know what to think. That feeling lasted less than the time it took to hear the song to it's end. Your praise of him is well received. In fact, you'll have to "Excuze me while I kiss the sky!" Very good tribute here, good luck in the contest. JT
