Jesus Prophetic Word -John 2: 18-22
Jesus came to the Jews
with a startling statement
destroy this temple, yes really do
in 3 days I'll raise it again too true
The Jews knew it took 46 years
for this temple to be built
confused on this Jesus claim
to raise it in 3 days He came
Yes the Messiah came for His own
to rise from the death of a cross
proving Himself as the Son of God
His people's chief cornerstone
Jesus disciples brought this to mind
remembering these words the saviour spoke
so they believed the scripture they heard
for it conveyed what had truly signed
So these scriptures still hold today
all that Jesus said 2000 years ago
He still raises His body from death
for they believe in Jesus so to grow
("So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.")
