Jesus Prayed For Me

JESUS PRAYED FOR ME Jesus prayed for me again so many times today; He prayed I would not fall in sin and stray so far away. He prayed I’d grow so much in love that I would serve Him more, He prayed that I’d look back above to heaven’s goal and shore. He prayed that I would think of those in need beside just me And prayed that His word I would heed and more within it see. He intercedes for all that way from His great throne above— I’d love to listen to Him pray and feel more His great love. But I remembered of that prayer He uttered one dark night As He faced death and sorrow there and how sin He would fight. It’s in the book of John, I know, where I can read that prayer, And though He did to heaven go, He prays it even there. So though I do not hear Him pray for me from His great throne, I still can read His prayer today and know that I am known. Yes, Jesus prayed for me today, and I am thankful, too, That He’s not very far away to pray now just for you!
