Jesus: Lamb of God

Jesus lived up to his claim: "I am the fine shepherd"* 
who put the well-being of his flock ahead of his own.  
"Come be my follower,"** to all of mankind he said.



Shepherd of men is the Lord, Jesus Christ
In humble submission, he gave his life
His body tortured;  He was sacrificed

With love for all of mankind, he was rife
Deep within my heart, faith is burning bright
comforting me from misery and strife

His virtues give me hope to do what's right
in a world plagued with selfishness and greed
I will follow my Savior's guiding light

His words, the spiritual food I need
I pray He grants me the grace to be meek
"I am the way,"*** in sermon, he decreed.

He provides the truths I piously seek
In His righteous ways I've always believed
It is the Lamb of God of whom I speak

Through the Virgin Mary, He was conceived
To cleanse me of sins; my sorrow and shame
So everlasting life could be achieved

I worship Jesus with praise and acclaim
With great joy, I honor His holy name
