Jesus Knocked
If Jesus knocked on your heart today,
Would you welcome him or send him away?
Would you ask him to come back another day?
Or would you listen to what he had to say?
Jesus knocked on my heart one day.
I could have told him to go away,
But I took a chance and asked him to stay,
And he came in despite the dirt and disarray.
Jesus told me forever he would stay,
And together we would live and work and play.
Instantly he washed my sins away,
With the blood he shed on Calvary one stormy day.
When Jesus moved into my heart that day,
He began to shape and mold my heart of clay.
I knew my life had changed forever and always,
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
